Tutorial On Checking and Playing Plates
This is educational material so you may have to do an assignment. This assignment which you will do before you play each time allow you to play the game properly.
You could start by rearranging the plates thus:
Now say the plate were rearranged to this configuration
You have to write down each number on a piece of paper and try to find out how many numbers are below any current numbers that are less than it
In this case:
- 6 has 5 number (3,4,5,1,2) below it
- 8 has 6 numbers
- 3 has 2 numbers
- 4 has 2 numbers
- 5 has 2 numbers
- 1 has 0 numbers
- 7 has 1 numbers
- 2 has zero numbers
Now you some all the below numbers to see if it will give an even or odd score. If it gave an odd score it is unsolvable otherwise it is solvable.
In this case: 5+6+2+2+2+0+1 = 18 which means it is solvable. So, you can play. Otherwise you have to scramble it again.
